The framers didn't have to know whether he did or not when they started the frame-up. The police, however, knew before they found the Rockingham blood. The point is that had Simpson not cut himself in chicago, his being cuffed when he returned would have resulted in his getting cut from the cuffs. Who could have proved the cuts came from the cuffs rather than from what he did at Bundy. Why does anyone think they cuffed him to begin with when there was no warrant? And does anyone really believe that a simple blue uniform cop would have the guts to slap the cuffs on Simpson without orders from above? This was all part of the set-up to get OJ to acknowledge he had cut himself. Once he did, he ewas done. Prien
