Jasper, we're of the same mind about the fickleness of Pellicano's loyalties (except to his own self interest) as well as his consummate ability to orchestrate events and manipulate the media, especially in Los Angeles. Beyond that it's painfully apparent that Pellicano still has substantial influence and is quite feared, though he presently is in federal prison. I was occupied today with a very good producer, not from these parts, who's working on a documentary about Pellicano. The producer is having a tedious job just finding people who are willing to EVEN talk about their experience with Pellicano. That unfortunately didn't surprise me much, because when I had asked my trial attorney, five years ago, to call Pellicano even as a hostile witness, he flatly refused saying, "No, I'll be killed". The fact with Pellicano is that unlike the Wizard of Oz, there's something far more hideous to be found behind his curtain of Hollywood hype and bravado.
