Laura Hart McKinney tried but failed. I don't remember the names. The reason is that they didn't have to testify. Several People went to Florida just after the murders to not testify. Both worked at the Mezzeluna. I believe the Bermans threatened to leave the state if they had to testify. Even Rosa Lopez showing up when she did was for the purpose of getting her to CA as she had no desire to testify and was going to leave the Country. I am unsure if she did or not. They put her in out of order because she flat stated she was going to leave so they videotaped her testimony and then didn't use it. With all the witnesses in the case it is difficult to remember those who threatened to fight the subpeona, fought the subpeona's and left the country. The point is not so much who but something up to then was very much not heard of before. Judges in other states ruling that it was all right to not come to California to testify because they were in a different state and did not want to testify. As far as witnesses who appeared and acted as if they were being forced to testify all stating outside the Court House that they believed O.J. was guilty but was going to tell the bad things about Furhman anyway is another strange happening. Then in the Civil trial Furhman was served to appear for the Defense and the judge told the defense he wouldn't enforce the subpeona because he didn't think they needed his evidence. Bizarre happenings which are now common occurances in CA Court Rooms. In the Civil trial they bounced a juror during Deliberations. All the pundits wondered if this was not an appellete issue. Would never happen in a Criminal Court. Scott Peterson Case 2004. Two jurors left during deliberations and people don't see why there should have been a mistrial.
