Mario, ……..I never thought that Kardashian paid William Wasz to do anything. I thought somebody else did, somebody Wasz did not want to identify. I was sure that the Bundy killer planned to kill Nicole in January but I couldn’t quite figure out what Wasz’s story of being paid to kill her had to do with it. Once I understood your October place in the sequence of events leading to Nicole’s murder it occurred to me that Wasz didn’t even suspect that there was a murder plot until the last minute. You didn’t suspect anything of the sort until after the murders but you didn’t go nearly as far as Wasz did. ………I learned from your faxes why you thought Wasz told the truth – because you had a similar experience a few weeks earlier with Rocky telling you that O.J. said he wanted someone to follow Nicole. The portion of Wasz’s story about being approached to follow Nicole in December was too close to be a coincidental lie and the pattern in both cases is identical. Neither you nor Wasz worked for a prestigious private investigation firm, which would have been the logical choice for a wealthy client who wanted to remain anonymous. Somebody picked both of you to follow Nicole and in both cases the client was identified as somebody acting on behalf of O.J. Simpson. With you, it was supposed to be O.J. himself. With Wasz it was supposed to be his close friend Robert Kardashian. Where is the logic in either of them giving themselves away to people who had no vested interest in preserving their anonymity? ……..Wasz’s story about Kardashian hiring him to spy on Nicole is a refinement of the story Rocky gave you. In Wasz’s spy story the client (Kardashian) wisely cuts out the middleman by going directly to the investigator. But his hit story requires a middleman as a buffer against Wasz naming Kardashian as the man who hired him in case something went wrong. What we get instead, is a direct link to Kardashian and an indirect link to O.J. It’s not almost as though somebody wanted O.J. linked to Nicole’s murder, it is exactly as though somebody wanted O.J. linked to Nicole’s murder. If you had accepted Rocky’s offer you would have been that link. –Jasper
