I had this "ah ha" experience. I suddenly thought "it is not what the police did, it is what they did not do that is what is significant." Now I don't really know what these means at this point, need another "ah ha" to go with it. But I do know that we have been looking at what happened, when we should be looking at what did not happen. The one thing that comes to me right now is that they did not go in and check the cash register, the credit card machine and employee punch in and out, to see if and how much the time was off on each. This would have given the exact time that Nicole paid the check. It would have told the exact time that Ron punched out. Kind of machine evidence instead of witness evidence. They also did not seem to try to find the exact time the recital was over. The LAPD is not stupid and would not have just overlooked doing these routine things. So what else can we think of that they did not do??? AS to my "ah ha" experiences, they are usually quite significant, esp just coming out of the blue as this one did. It is probably something my subconcious has been working on that just kind of jumpted into conciousness, but more of a teaser than a conclusion. I was not feeling up to par and have spent a couple of days doing a lot of lying down and reading a mystery book and doozing. I told the cat, I was restless and needed to get up and do something and then ah ha.
