Jean, …..I haven’t reached any conclusions on this. It’s still an open question depending on which information out of the all the conflicting information is true. Right now I’m only to the point where I view some conflicting information as more likely than others. ……The key point of conflict is whether or not Paula was following a scheduled appointment to get her hair done when her SUV was stolen. If the visit was not scheduled no one could have told Bill where and when to steal it because only Paula and the hairdresser would have known to expect her. ……. Paula’s “fluff” book The Other Woman was published in 1997. Bill’s Kardashian story did not become public until 1998. Suppose her book account of what happened with the hairdresser is true. The biggest misconception about the theft before then was that the stolen SUV was a white Bronco. This mistake led to sloppy reporting about Bill taking it to follow Nicole, which led to speculation that he took it by mistake or that he intended to use it to follow Nicole for whatever reason. There was little interest in Bill Wasz when Paula wrote her book and the little she said about him was mostly a correction of the record and an explanation for how she ended up with a white Bronco. There was no reason for her to lie about why she went to One Rodeo Drive that day. It would have been just as easy to say that she went there to get her hair done if that’s what happened, regardless of whether she were telling the truth or lying about knowing Bill. ……… Suppose Paula did a big photo shoot with her hair done at One Rodeo Drive and she was bringing over photos for the owners to hang on the wall. She goes to valet parking, leaves the key in the ignition, performs her errand and returns to a missing SUV. The only things she could say about Bill were what the cops and prosecutors told her. ………If this is what happened, Bill would have known where and when to steal the 4-Runner only if he were following her. When I told him that I thought the names and phone numbers in his notebook were there for the same reason Nicole’s schedule was there (he was tracking all of them) he bristled. He said that he had proven that his Kardasian story was true because of the phone records and locations he gave to the police. Every item of “proof” he gave me was also consistent with him following Nicole, O.J. Kardasian and Paula and that’s what I told him, item by item. When he ran out of arguments he said, “Now let me tell you what really happened.” ………The most important thing might be what I haven’t said before because I didn’t think it was important before. I told him that I thought he was trying to get arrested with his irrational crime spree. He told me I was wrong, but he did not start with the theft of Paula’s truck, where the crime spree apparently began. He started by asking me if I knew how many bullet holes were in it and how many spent rounds were in the chamber of his gun. That’s when he said he would tell me “what really happened.” He told me how wasted he was on drugs and gave me one example after another of his short-term thinking. “Stupid shit,” he called it. He said nothing at all about anyone telling him to steal the truck. –Jasper
