Lollie and Ludwig,

All of the books (including Killing Time, Solving the Simpson Murder Mystery and Iago in Brentwood) and taped interviews completed before 2000 have the same inherent flaw. They contain more than a few factual and speculative errors based on bad information.

In Iago, I put Heidstra in the alley behind Nicole’s condo based on Clifford Linedecker’s O.J. A to Z – bad source. In my book and in the animations I have the foyer blood drops on the wrong side (haven’t had time to make the correction) – Wrong interpretation of bad photo. Dick Wagner had them in the right place all along – Correct interpretation of good photo. He had the wrong proportions of the Rockingham driveway until shortly before he died because he didn’t think it mattered. I had the right proportions all along because I did think it mattered. I had the year of the baseball bat incident wrong (’85) because I went with the year in Fuhrman’s letter. Kari had it right (’84) because she took the trouble to work through ALL of the information that gave the only possible year.

Wagner had both sides of the Bundy curve well diagramed. All I had was a line until Rose (Rovaan) sent me his drawings and photos with her brilliant annotations. From looking at the curve on location, Dick and Rose saw an ideal spot for someone working with the active killer to observe and participate as needed. Although I didn’t know what the curve looked like, my Iago hypotheses meant that it had to exist with all of the special characteristics that Wagner’s drawings and photos indicated did exist.

The best you can ever do is to use the resources available to you in real time to collect information, assess its pertinence and accuracy and assemble it in a rational order. If a key element is wrong in any assembly string, everything connected to that element will be wrong. That’s why Wagner and I have links to each other’s sites and both of us included Walraven’s transcripts and John Junot’s site in our links.

Much of what we do here is find errors and correct them. We try out various ideas based on what we know and what we think we know and see if the evidence supports it. It’s an ongoing process because, in time, we are bound to discover that something we thought was true isn’t true. Without Charlie, Kari, Kate, Jean, Miss. Marple, Charlotte, Rose, John, Pat W and Pat V, we wouldn’t have made much progress. Without internose and Nancy Drew we would have progressed little farther. Without you (Lollie and Ludwig) and Buster we wouldn’t be where we are now. --Jasper
