Ludwig,
The problem with the dream team is that they never realized the killer was responsible for planting BOTH gloves and Fuhrman could not have personally planted the Rockingham glove. It had to have been somebody closely associated with Fuhrman who was on the murder scene when the killings occurred and had his own car (Roberts). The dream team never looked twice at Roberts. They didn’t even know who he was until Phillips told Cochran that he (Phillips) was not Fuhrman’s partner.
Instead of determining whether or not Fuhrman wore size-12 shoes, the dream team turned it into an unanswered question. Instead of trying to see it there was anyone with motive and opportunity to kill Nicole and Ron and Frame O.J., who was also over 6’ tall and wore size-12 shoes, they trued to confuse the issue of the killer’s height and O.J.’s shoe size. Depending on the shoe style, the manufacturer and other variables, O.J. could wear shoes that ranged from size-11 to size-13. That’s what the dream team leaned on. They used Carl Douglas, who was under 6’ tall to show that he was wearing size-12 shoes (in a pointed toe style with wide stitching). They did everything they could to confuse the issue instead of clarifying it.
Instead of trying to nail down Fuhrman’s alibi, the dream team merely questioned it in closing arguments. Instead of arguing proof of innocence (which they had) they argued reasonable doubt. That’s what they got.
