There is an interesting echange between Baker and Kato in his deposition for the civil trial (3rd day). There Kato is trying to remember if he saw OJ on the first trip or the second trip. This is after the "coaching" done by Petrocelli. Petrocelli was sure that OJ and Kato saw each other after he reviewed the testimony in the criminal trial (from his book). Another interesting item to look at is the golf bag Oj says he set out. It appeared to me from what I read that it laid across the entryway to house, not along side the bench. This I am going to check again.
I fully agree that if Kato and OJ are not lying, the only way it could have happened is the way you have it (short of OJ hiding behind the Bentley when Kato went by and that I do not believe). I am just not convinced yet that they did not lie.
