This is true--as far as it goes. Who is to say they didn't allow someone up close? Cochran points out the slight difference of her body position in photos and I have seen it myself.
I think someone who knew both Faye and Nic--like Jeff --could have easily made an ID of the body. Perhaps they needed a back up plan in case the ID made by Fuhrman was ever questioned. It wasn't because they successfully "danced" around the issue and to this day have gotten by with whatever lies that they told about the ID of the body.
Or it could be that Jeff just gave his 'opinion" that it was Nic's body and not Faye's or the maid's, etc. Also, it could be during questioning, Jeff gave "good info" like that is not the maid because she's short and dark and not Faye because she is off in rehab. Things he might well have known if he knew Nic well at all.
