You are correct. Paramount also was trying to keep the Heidi scandal away from them and Robert Evans was the lightning rod. There is no telling what Paramount was doing to keep it away--or what Robert Evans himself was doing.
Don't forget when Denise was very young, she was Evans's mistress and he still had a pix of her on his desk at the time of the murders. Also he had his own drug problems--and arrests--and was connected to at least 2 murder-for-hire plots but was never arrested. Also his good friend and lawyer in those cases was Robert Sharpiro who met with Evans and others WEEKLY every week of the trial. Shapiro was also Nagy's lawyer who was Heidi's lover and handler---and he never got charged with anything.
As stated before, we have known this stuff for a long while but until you start putting Pellicano working on BOTH cases at the same time --and allegedly working for FREE for MF and throw in Weitzman's "conflict" as this case rather than something personal--it is just a bunch of info.
I think the connection may well be Heidi thru Pellicano and Weitzman and Evans and Fuhrman as a possible "Nicole's cop" in the Heidi operation.
Pellicano's EXPERT status with surveillance equipment and bugging devices may actually be the key.
