Yes, this was a clear case of him being set up. Even after the others confessed, he had been damaged so much that no one would take it seriously.
One thing was a book that really did him in. It made the writer famous but crusified an obviouly innocent man. That same writer was at the OJ trial and did not write a book, in fact I don't think he wrote anything. I often wondered if he recognized that OJ was innocent and guilt keep him from writing about the trial. Of couse if he was an honest writer, he would have written one saying OJ was innocent and why. Or did he and it was never published? I thought it strange at the time that one of the most famous writers did not write a book.
