Ron is NOT carrying an apartment key. Had that been known at the time, I think BIG RED FLAGS would have been raised.
And why would Ron's borrowed car be wiped clean of prints. There would be no danger of Ron's prints being there. But if the killer or the cops were in that car, there sure would be a reason to wipe it down. Or if the car was placed there after the fact by some unknown person--another reason.
There is only one reason to wipe it down. And that is to hide WhO drove it last. Or who was in the car with Ron, etc.
