Karpf said he got off the freeway at Wilshere Blvd, the same exit Dick and I took when we time the trip to 17:11 minutes. It is likely that Karpf was home at 10:35pm and was the one who slammed his gate, which Heidstra heard. The " Hey, Hey, Hey" may have come from the man walking his dog north on Bundy or even Karpf himself.
