I too was surprised that Rachel's father was not asked to testify -- especially since he was one of the last persons to see her alive.
The last name Berman is interesting in and of itself. One rather famous Berman was involved with Mobster Meyer Lansky in his day. This guy's daughter was (more recently) a rather popular writer of stories about being the daughter of a gangster.
Recently read that she was killed in recent years and that murder was still unsolved.
I wonder if superflop Roberts was involved with that investigation too.
Most probably not even remotely relevant to this case. Morelikely, just another common name, but interesting just the same.
