The speed limits in California was changed 1/7/96 from 55 mph to 65 and 70 mph. 70 mph is for limited access roads which I think are freeways in Calif. I posted this on 5/27/02 when i asked if the 55 mph limit would make a difference. Also, tickets in construction areas are doubled and I wonder if a person's tendency would be to slow down.
