I just read about Rose and Dick's trip and want to say that back then the trip was listed at more than 75 miles on the map quests and gave a different route than they went.
Also, it is my understanding that the Diamond lanes and other type lanes were NOT in existence in 94 before the construction on the road was complete.
Even in 96 (when I got Internet) and 97 when I looked this up, they were still routing the trip a different way than it is now. They did not include the exit over to Dana Point.
I know I am beating a dead horse here but if we ignore public statements such as the phone was ringing when they got into the door and it was Nicole. And that Judy claims to have a 10 min.+ conversation with her "later" and things like that, I think we are doing a very big diservice here to the case.
Judy also said it was "getting late" is the reason that they went ahead and left the restuarant w/out finding the glasses. Maybe they do, but I don't consider 8:30 to be "late".
Denise even made comment about the kids sleeping in the back. At 8:30? They were young children but they weren't THAT young.
