I personally believe the manager's story that the glasses were found approx 9:10 or so (forget the exact time he said) when the waitress was still looking just after they left.

I think he was one of the first interviewed and may have accidentally said that time before it was known that it needed to be later. Then he was stuck with it. He couldn't change it. However, ALL the rest of the employees and the Browns could tell a different story--and just make him look wrong or incorrect.

Or was this story to hide the fact that NIcole knew perfectly well the glasses were missing before she ever left the restuarant and perhaps when she came back from the ice cream store, stuck her head in the door and asked if the glasses had been found? A perfectly logical thing to do if you are passing the restuarant to get back to your car.

Either Kate or Kari (believe it was Kate) had a newspaper article at one time that described some interviews with folks who said they stood around with the Browns outside the restuarant and talked after the meal and that the kids were running around playing on the sidewalk, etc. I don't think I have it anymore. Perhaps someone else does. My storage in the webtv is poor when it comes to keeping things long term. Perhaps Pat W. still has it.

I repeat--getting home at approx 10:15+ and the phone is ringing (Nic) is more likely than getting home at 9:37 given what probably happened and Judy's and Lou's first stories. The 9:37 call could Easily have been Tonya calling the restuarant from home and then calling NIcole about the whereabouts of the Browns.
