I agree, Jean, but for a different reason.

I do believe that they knew OJ wasn't guilty early on (after the arrest if not before) but they were covering up for the cops-and perhaps Fuhrman in particular.

I think they wanted a jury that would be less likely to convict than the Santa Monica jury. I think it was a Prosecute but don't convict show trial.

We have learned (if nothing else) that many things the cops failed to do, the mistakes and errors (accidentally and on purpose) that were made. Or the lies told.

They also wanted to Blame it on a Black racial decision. Which they did.

Just take Karpf. If they really wanted him to pin down a time (he was a time and Schwab witness--that was his purpose), a phone call from the cops to the airlines would have given them the exact time the plane landed via their logs. But they didn't. They wanted the time open-ended (both ways) so that they could use him to IMPLY that the dog walker was Schwab. This was an important time witness and Schwab (?) witness but they didn't make any attempt to pin it down precisely--which they could have done. It "suited" them better to leave it open-ended and give the Practical consequences we talked about yesterday and today.

Also, not asking anybody but the Browns, friends of the Browns, Mezz employees who were friends of Ron about the time at the Mezz, who was there and when they left is another example. The restuarant was full as was the recital. None of those people were asked or used. They deliberately let it hang out there over Where was Rachel? at the restuarant rather than getting a statement from Rachel's parents for another example.

I could go on and on ---but won't. Although Benjamin Jones is another such case that should be listed as is the Animal shelter, etc.
