First the time was going to be 10:03 when her watch stopped. Probably planted by the murderer as it was planed for that time. But they were late getting out of the resturant and she was on the phone at that time, so the time had to be moved up. Now it does not take a murder to make a dog bark. Someone sneeking around will do it just fine. I guess they thought they could hide the dating couple and Heistra. Remember they held back on discovery so much and some people had to call the defense as the prosecution gave them the cold shoulder. Then they flooded them with so much discovery they were hoping they would miss the defense witnesses. Also one faction did not know what the other faction was doing. Actually I think the mail box testimoney was to prove that Kato was loose at the time, so the murders must have been done.
