I just read Kim Goldman's deposition to try and learn something about Nigg and I learned some more about Ron too.
According to Kim, it was Nigg who got Ron the job at Mezzaluna (do you need recommendations to get a waiter job in LA?). They had also both worked at California Pizza Kitchen in Brentwood (remember Fuhrman's notes, the note on Nicole's coffee table with Cal. Pizza Kitchen and a name and phone number). Ron worked there for about a year before he was fired in -93 for giving away a coke (???) This tidbit came from Toobin's book.
This job came after what must have been a tough year for Ron. In -92 he was arrested (second time) for "traffic violations" and spent 4-5 days in prison. He also lost his driver's license. That same year he declared bancrubtcy, according to Fred because of "an expensive girlfriend". That must have been Jacqui Bell. (Is she the Jacqui Bell who played Whiskey Girl in Doors?)
Ron was one third owner of a company without an office, called Design Wrap, promoting bars and clubs, arranging movie wraps and parties. Didn't sound too success full.
Kim dated Nigg for a while but mostly in sort of a group. Ron must have known him at that time.
Amazingly the police NEVER questioned Kim about her brother's affairs.
