I can't disagree, Jasper, but I do wonder if he is nearly as "intelligent" as he has been made out to be. There are all kinds of "intelligence" you know. And there are some kinds of Intelligent people who can't come in out of the rain nor does it ever cross their minds to do so.
About the doorframe. I have wondered about that myself. For one thing, how he was ever allowed to do it in the first place when the the warrant called for the lab to have it. And secondly, if he had an "agenda" gone bad in it. Perhaps, he tore it apart when it did not show what he wanted it to show --that the boyfriend actually was the killer. Rather than admit that, he took the chance of tearing it up and taking the heat, hoping the case would go forward anyway.
Judging from the headlines today (and some cases in the past) his assumption that the case could go forward anyway (no matter of police incompetence or tampering or lying) just might not have been that far off the mark. Perhaps this particular suspect "benefited" from the case coming up the week before the OJ trial and nobody wanted "tampering with evidence" as part of the headlines concerning Fuhrman.
