Two things, one of which you indicate you know of.
Kaelin made TWO trips to the south path. The first only as far as the front of the garage, and the second (he says) down to the second gate.
The second innaccuracy in your animation is that you show the front (westernmost) gate on the south path SWINGING OPEN. In fact, it was broken off its hinges and had to be manhandled to open and shut it.
Nor is that a trivial point. Because Kaelin testified several times that BOTH gates (btw, there was a third gate, about halfway between the two, about seven feet tall, which shows on OJ's interview video, but is never mention by Kaelin) were CLOSED at 11:00 when he went down the path.
I have always believe that the implication of that fact was just too subtle for Kaelin to realize at the time.
For, you see, it means that if there had been anyone who ran out of the path that night, he would have had to stop, turn around, and manhandle the gate closed AND DO THIS IN THE DARK. Hardly the actions of a fugitive murderer in a big hurry.
