I don't think the press would have withheld anything about Marcus Allen - and, to my knowledge, they didn't. I was talking about the police withholding information from the press.
As a class, I have found reporters to be basically lazy (they take what they are given and run with it) and not terribly bright. There were plenty of rumors flying around about Marcus Allen by way of the press but they were quickly forgotten in the stamped to print and air dirt about O.J. As soon as the 10 o'clock visitor turned out to be someone other than O.J. the media simply lost interest. --Jasper
