You know how one thought leads to another so I'm sure you know how much I appreciated the post. Things like that help to clarify the issue.
When I was working through the problem I had a sudden thought about the notes that hadn't occurred to me before - When and how did Fuhrman get his notes back? When he turned them over to RHD didn't they become RHD property? Just where the hell were they kept all that time and what did he have to do to get them back?
When Dianne Sawyer showcased Fuhrman's notes on Primetime Live in 1997, Vannatter and Lange didn't seem to know a thing about them. Yeah, they remembered Phillips handing them the notes but they gave no indication of recalling what happened to them after that. Could it be that they didn't remember that they ever had them until Dianne Sawyer reminded them that they did? Could it be that they didn't know they were missing from wherever they were supposed to have been kept? And just where was that, anyway? --Jasper
