The Reps are not going after Condit--the Liberal press is. He is a conservative and he voted for the Impeachment Inquiry into Clinton. Payback is hell!
And you know what? It took me a week to learn whether he was a Dem or Rep because nobody ever said on television or in the newspapers.
A recent media study was done and found that in the hundreds of references (probably thousands) on tv and in the newspapers, he was ONLY id'd as a Dem 8% of the time. The rest of the time, it was left off.
I daresay, if it had been a Rep. we would have never heard the end of it.
Nobody is hounding him because he is a Dem. They are hounding him because this is a "sexy" story and a young woman is missing.
