There is no crime if an adult is missing. Therefore, Condit is Not a Suspect.
That is the crux of the matter. Until, if or when a body is found there will be a "crime". So far, there is NO crime.
So that is why is it so strange to see Condit referred to as "not a suspect".
There has been NO crime. And if her body is never found or she is never found, there will have been NO crime.
