I agree with you, Charlie, the press is the big problem. Also a problem is the way people now consider news entertainment. We want big flashy news, juicy details and gore. The press delivers. And what they don't have, they make up. Always looking for the next headline.
Shandra's disappearance was not a STORY till somebody in the press made the connection to Condit. Now they had a BIG story to build on.
The Washington police is investigating 40 other cases of missing young women. You don't read much about them in the press, right? No congress man, no intern, no story. That is sad but true.
I still haven't read about the 20 phone calls or her last conversation with Condit. And since the police is not telling and Condit neither, I have to guess that it might not be true. Miss Marple
