I am talking interviews with the Chief of Police on the television and other sources being interviewed on television.
Condit offered those things when the cops told him at the 3rd interview that they intended to get the GJ to ask for his phone records, credit cards records, a search warrant, etc.
He offered so those things wouldn't happen.
No way does he want his phone records subpoenaed.
I am not saying he is guilty of any murder. I AM saying it is silly not to call him a suspect. That is just "spin" and "putting a nice face on it".
Just like Robert Blake was a suspect and probably still is.
The crime and problem occurs when the tabs actually accuse somebody of murder in their headlines.
Nobody has accused Condit in the regular press. I don't know what the tabs have done.
Every guy (or woman) who lives a secret life this way is taking a chance of it getting exposed.
There can be a air crash or car accident or hit and run or anything that would cause the secret to be revealed (perhaps from documents in the dead person's house).
He is no different. Just because he is a congressman does not give him a "cloak of innocence".
