I have been away for a few days and coming back the news say that Condit admitted that he had an affair with Chandra Levi. So I started reading the papers on the net.
I am not the least surprised that it is all recycled news. The police havent said anything new. Condit has not admitted to an affair. Condit is still not a suspect. The source, telling about the affair has grown to sources but is still no name. And CNN is interviewing a Newsweek reporter about what is new!!!!
Condit took a lie detector test and all those who said he should if he had nothing to hide now say it doesn't meen anything at all.
The flight attendent that first denied an affair and ASKED Condit's lawyer to help formulate an affidavit, has now been on Larry King saying they tried to make her lie about the affair.
I have read Shandra's aunt's statement carefully. She wasn't much of a confidante at all, they hardly knew each other. She says "Shandra couldn't tell her everything she wanted to, cause Grandma was always around" that weekend. And auntie says things like "they probably gave each other presents for Valentine, but she didn't say, so I don't know." And asked if they were at the same party on New Year's Eve she says "Maybe he looked at her from the other side of the room. I wouldn't know, she didn't say." AND THE PRESS PRINTS THIS GARBAGE.
Where I live am not bombarded with talkshows and such but even the regular press is totally without scruples. It makes me mad. It is just like how OJ was destroyed in the press.
This is not about whether Condit is guilty of infidelity or worse. (I don't know that, but neither does anybody else.) It is about the press taking on the role of both judge and jury and hangs a man, only to get a story. Lynching. Miss Marple
