Sometimes disillusionment in a person's face can look like fear. I don't think that Furhman is a coward in the true sense of the word. He was in Marine Intelligence. He has an Ego the size of this planet. If not bigger. The things he did were cowardly. I wouldn't be surprised if he sees himself as the character in the movie like Tom Berenger in the Melanie Griffith Movie Shadow Of A Doubt which is a thinly veiled belief of who was behind the Bundy murders and who did it. The difference is the D.A in the movie is the Mark Furhman role in the Bundy Murders. Gates is the one behind him and whomever has the money is behind Gates. Who they portray as the money behind Gates is heavily hidden so the obvious is not who it is. In fact with the patsy in the movie being a man at the beginning of a big career it ties in the Rae Carruth trial. But it also tells one that the opposite is the case in the Bundy murders.
