Yes and No. These noises were to send the police in different directions and cover up this and that so if somehow O.J. had an alibi they didn't anticipate, then we have a new suspect, Kato, if that doesn't fly someone else. It was all done so insidiously that whatever happened, there were nets everywhere so no one might look at Furhman. All done to make people run around like Chickens with their heads cut off so that the police might always be in the clear. Too bad a few people saw through the charade.
