You're right.
Your post reminded me of something else that might have been involved with the decision of the defense to simply challenge the prosecution's timeline instead of pinning down one of their own. In Johnnie Cochran's opening argument he said that he was going to produce a witness (Rosa Lopez) who would swear that she saw the Bronco parked the way the police found it at 10:20. He had to backtrack when he found out that Pavlic pulled that time out of his ass and Rosa said no such thing. --Jasper
