I used to really admire Robert Shapiro. He was good. He appeared to put his entire heart into his cases. He did sexeral things that completely disillusioned me about him and I have yet to figure out why. He had them trick O.J. Simpson into beginning a polygraph when he was in the state of grieving. Since he is a man, and releasing sad emotions are difficult for men it only made sense that the questions that where like, Is your name O.J. Simpson, he scored minus something it has been said. We will never know, Robert Shapiro destroyed thee charts knowing how guitly that made O.J. Simpson look. He leaked information to the press and then blamed a colleguege. These are basic attorney ethics. His excuse is that he couldn't handle people hating him. His heart was not in this case from the moment he walked into a Laker Game and was Booed by the people inside. This is why he kept trying to plea out. Then his most cardinal sin as an attorny he went on Larry King and when asked if he believed O.J. Simpsom he made some comment which practically said he believed O.J. Simpson was guilty. I believe be began, The Jury Has Spoken, but then continued a diatribe with a look of upset and guilt that spoke volumnes to anyone who wanted to believe O.J. Simpson was innocent. I believe the Defense should have subpeaned Dr Golden and his notes and I believe Shapiro was behind his not being cslled. That one man's testimony would have secured an acquittal and not libal. Why else do you think Dt Golden was told to go back to work pull and gun and discharge it. It was probably his idea to say how much he hated all lawyers or whatever it was. I feel a loss as I used to really think highly of Robert Shapiro. I still believe he is a brilliant attorney for the guilty, but not for the innocent. Now he does mostly Civil Cases.
