Allita,

Mark Fuhrman as consistently said that the investigation was screwed up from the start.

He complained that Vannatter never read his notes and that if he had, he would have fond a bloody fingerprint on the gate. He said that the fingerprint mysteriously disappeared. The trouble with that story is the fact that Fuhrman was in charge of the investigation at the time he made the "discovery" and he - on his own authority could have made a call that would have guaranteed a photo would have been taken and the print lifted for identification.

Fuhrman said that Brad Roberts found a black sweatsuit in the washing machine that also disappeared. He said that he and Brad Roberts found the socks on O.J.'s bedroom rug before the videographer arrived to take the pictures and that the prosecutors screwed up by not using him or Roberts as witnesses. He said that he found the empty knife box that the murder weapon came out of with an indentation that fit the Swiss Army knife he said was THE murder weapon and Vannatter and Lange screwed up by insisting that it was a German Stiletto. He said that the box also disappeared.

Fuhrman said that the stick he matched to the place it came from was never followed up on and that a witness to a light-colored vehicle in that place in the timeframe of the killings should have been called as a witness in court. He said that the crime scene WAS contaminated by Lange and that Vannatter was stupid for carrying that vial of blood to Rockingham.

The list goes on and on. The bottom line is this: The OTHER detectives screwed up, contaminated evidence and monkeyed with evidence that he and his partner found. --Jasper
