Three paths to explain the evidence?

On reading the various discussions of controversial aspects of the case, then the occassional rehashing of some of these issues, and then further steps back and forth on some of them seem to only lead to more questions than answers. It seems that we could stay in this circle forever!

For this reason, I think that it's only possible to explain much of the evidence if there was a link between the three main supported evidence trails which explain the entire story.

Jasper's theory is hard to question, but the fact that he only mentioned (but didn't pursue) a role for SHipp, Denise and Faye, and the fact that he doesn't address more of the story related to Ron and his side of the equation has lead me to conclude perhaps three paths need to be considered.

First, if one thinks that it is possible that the police would cover for each other and the DA needed to show OJ was guilty, you can explain 50% of the phenomenon, namely the establishment's role, including the press. The means was control of the evidence.

Second, if you conclude that person or persons (including Denise, Faye, and Ron Shipp)linked to O.J., Goldman and Nicole, conspired to frame O.J. for killing Ron as part of a scheme to get at OJ's money, then another 30% or so is explained. This is so even if the original plan didn't call for the murder of Nicole, which is likely, but resulted when something went wrong.

Third, if you conclude that Glass or other figures of the underworld had some interest in Ron and his activities, then the rest of the story is explained. This would include all those events related to Ron which occured after his death, including the murder of Nigg etc., the interest in Ron's file at his counselor's etc., Fred Goldman's "only OJ" position etc.

If so, Fuhrman, the link for the first two parts of the above, got a additional number of evidence trails from the third source which helped to further confuse the story and his role.

Given all the diverging paths of the evidence one can follow, it is no wonder that many people concluded that OJ did it. That conclusion is certainly much easier to believe than some complicated explanation like the one presented above.
