You leave out the politics. Now if OJ had been convicted it could have caused a race riot. Now if that had happened then it would have been on Clintons watch, Black Willie Williams watch and democrate Garsetties watch. Now big business controls TV and they want labor kept down. Jeb and Dubya were running for office, a racial incident could have done them some good. Dubya in 94 and Jeb in 96. Then the national elections were coming up in 96. Big business wanted republicans in and a race war could have helped them. They have a lot more clout than any of the mobs to control the media. Now the Brown's sued OJ for the kids. Meant that kept 1/3 of OJ's money in the family. But without OJ suplimenting their income they got desperate and tried to get it for themselves. They are old and that in itself makes it hard to make a living. Without OJ, Herst was not going to bend over to help Lou to make it in his franchise. Lots of things to consider. Only the a political faction had the power to control the trial, not the mob.
