John,
You can find a description of the fence in Fuhrman's testimony. I'm not sure whether he describes it in his preliminarily trial testimony as well as in his criminal trial testimony but he does describe it and no one disputed his statement. I think he said it was about four and a half feet tall which is pretty standard for that kind of fence. Go to the transcripts of Fuhrman's testimony, then do a search for "fence" or "glove" and I'm sure you'll find the answer.
Missing pictures from the Salinger's side of the fence has been a great frustration for me, too. The pictures made available by both sides really sucked. They were all taken to tell a particular story of O.J.'s guilt or innocence. To the extent the evidence didn't tell THATstory both sides either edited out or obscured it with deceptive angles, cropped shots that did not show critical points of reference and shots that were too fuzzy or too far away to see what was really there. I learned about the Salinger's driveway running past Rosa's room form the front of the property to the rear, only from a close study of an overhead picture in Vannatter and Lange's Evidence Dismissed when I was trying to work out the scale and proportion of the Rockingham estate. The trees lining the property gives the fence a canopy from that view, which obscures the fence line completely and appears to cover most of the driveway. From that view you can't see anything on either side of the fence within two feet. Good luck. --Jasper
