I don't know how you answered, I am sure with "just the facts, mam" But I would have answered to why did OJ run. In the first place he did not. He was headed toward LA when contact was made with the police. If he had been running he probably would not have stopped at Nicole's grave or if he was doing so, he would have just gone on by, when he saw the press. Not a good place to hang around,if you are tying to avoid being seen. He had many resources if he had been running. If you recall Cowlings was the body gaurd of a mafia drug lord and could easily have hidden him out till he could have been whisked out of the country by private plane. They would not have been going to do a dumb thing like trying to drive thru a border check point. He would have had more money than he had, remember that part of that money was in checks, not too easy to cash them in Mexico. He would have cleaned out a bank account and had plenty of bribe money in his pocket. Just does not make sense that he was doing anything else than what he and Cowlings said. He was suicidal and temporary out of his mind. Besides loosing a person whom he was very close to in a very traumatic way and in grief, he also was facing charges of murder and being lynched by the media. Being a black man he was well aware that other innocent black men had been left to rot in jail. He knew how hard it would be to prove his innocence once you have been set up by the LAPD and LADA. He was concerned about his kids and what they were going thru, and what they would go thru. He knew that the Browns, his family or friends would care for the physical well being of his kids, but also knew that he would not be there for their emotional support. Like any other parent when your kids suffer, you suffer. Now when you are suicidal, the last thing on your mind is being on time to go to jail, or that police are looking for you, or that you are making your attorney mad. You think you are going to be dead and it won't make a bit of difference.

As to Fuhrman, Furmans objective was to be a hero. He was arrogant enought to believe that he would be believed. He believed that he had McKinny wrapped around his handsome, charming little finger and that the tapes would never see the light of day. He had gotten away with multiple lies before, it was just one more that he thought he would get away with.
