Thanks Pat.

Was this book written by Lee himself or is this one of those "as told to" books.

Isn't it amazing how many lies find their way into the common understanding of "the facts" by sheer repetition?

What you said about the German Stiletto is VERY interesting. I believe it was Burt Luper or his partner who said that he found the knife and put it back because it still had the tag on it and that it "obviously" hadn'?t been used. I can?t find it in the transcripts but I thought I heard him say it himself. Now I?'m wondering whether I heard it from his own lips or from someone reporting what he said.

I think I heard it from the cop. But I also seem to recall some "talking head" discussion about the tag and the oil on the blade on E! TV. I?'d like to nail that one down because I'?m starting to hear too many versions of who found the knife and determined that it hadn'?t been used. Fuhrman says that he and Brad Roberts searched the place where O.J. said he put it and where Judge Wong retrieved it. Fuhrman said that it wasn'?t there when he searched. Lee and the cop who said he found the knife could both be telling the truth, but somebody has to be lying. Guess who my leading candidate for the liar is? --Jasper
