Van Adder and Lange's job was to keep Arnell and Kato busy where they could not see what Fuhrman was doing. So since they did not search the house for the maid, they already knew she wasn't there.Probably from a phone tap when she called OJ. I would love to know who and how the maid decided not to be there.
