I should have added to my first post that if it had been shown that no light was needed at the front door (and especially by the owner of the house who had been there some 20 odd years and who knew his way around) then the whole business of OJ "just arriving home" falls through the floor. The light being off and then turned on when a figure was seen entering the door was a requirement of the police and DA theory of "OJ having just returned home when Park saw the figure".
