I think you got it right. Sounded like he knew a lot of people in the lab. Now he said know, not I've seen. Know carries a different conotation than just a wave or HI. In a place as big as the LAPD, why would you really know anyone in the lab. And if you knew anyone it would be people like Fung, that you ran across at crime sceens. Don't forget Kessler was also married to a cop, friend of Van Adder or/and Lange.
