The reason the blood drops were so well placed was because the killer most likely had the knife with the victim's blood in his left hand. He could have carried it tip down with arm extended down his side as he walked to the back gate (maybe even to check the noise he heard when the neighbour's gate slam as the neighbour was entering his property next door.) Hence the drops next to the shoes. The blood would then have become OJ's when the switch was made at the lab.
Dr. Lee said it would take blood dropping from a distance of 10 inches or less to leave rounded drops.
Lange did have to concede that a victim's blood could drip from a weapon. BUT in my opinion he was pushing the "perp just had to be injured" theory just a tad too strongly on June 21 1994.
What date was it that these report pages went missing from the lab? Was it before June 21?
