Pat,
Firstly, Chris Springer IS alive and well and living back in Norway. He had to return there at a very inopportune time for business reasons (a lawsuit he filed).
He can be contacted: Sven Arntzen (his Norweigan name) OBS. Terr. 4B N-0254 Oslo, Norway It takes about 60 cents per page to send a letter to him however so a typewritten on both sides is a good idea.
And Sherm and I have been friends for several years now since I contacted him about his writings on the OJS case. He has been told by several people that OJS is innocent and was contacted by some DEA people who told him the same thing.
Yes, he does have a website now and has had one for close to a year. (www.skolnickspreports.com) He is in Hog Heaven with that computer. Other contact info is on that site as well.
What you tell me about Hodgeman does not surprise me. He is the man who now has trial evidence (the phone records) in his "personal" possession. He hid the neighbor Tom Lang and his info, and more. Going to Hodgeman (who at the time was believed to be a standup guy) was probably not a good idea in hindsight. Unfortunately, I believe he is just as "compromised" in this case as the others are.
As for helping David Bresnahan, he knew I knew a lot about the case and when he started the Wasz articles (the first was done much sooner in time than the series he did) I started helping him with info about the case and the "players". Unlike the rest of us here, he did not watch the trial. There were many even "basic" things about the case that he did not know. I filled him in on this and answered his questions. Then I did research on the INternet for the companies and people that Wasz said he worked for. I did research in the LA Times for old stories. The orginal stories on Wasz.Told him what was reported in tabloids and on the tabloid shows (Wasz appeared on some of them at the time) at that time. I also reported the "discussion" that was going on on the Internet about the case and what "questions" were coming up. Also some of us contacted Wasz ourselves (I didn't but others did).
I also sent "questions to ask" from posters on the OJS Discussion on onelist.com.
One thing we learned from doing that is that Wasz says the "Mike" that he met with Kardashian that one time has the "general" description of Mike Nigg. Age, manner, etc.
I also found (by accident) the Don Simpson stuff in the LA Times (Wasz said he worked for Simpson at one time) and the articles about the doctor's death at his house and his own death. Robert's was detective in the doctor's death. I reported the lawsuit that came from the death and the charges that the cops, Pellicano and others tampered with evidence in that death.
It was mostly research and "connecting the dots" for Bresnahan. Explaining who was who and what they did in the case.
He would write or call and ask 'what do you know about so and so or such and such". And at times I know he said that he was going to discuss or pass on certain things to Bosco. Later he met and interviewed Freed.
Maybe not all that important of things in general but a LOT of stuff. Until you start talking to someone who truly doesn't know much about the case, you don't realize just how much is "out there" of the information kind that puts a different slant on the case altogether.
I will probably think of more things later on. And I will share them with you then. Or perhaps some discussion will bring some things to mind. This went on for quite a long time and I still keep him up to date on the issues that come up and the articles in the media.
More later charlie I look forward to the coming discussions.
