I recently read an interesting article on the so-called Wonderland murders which occured in the 80's in L.A. I found it interesting that Det. Lange was the chief investigator in this case as well, and even co-authored a book on the murders, although it wasn't published.
The saga continued on until early 2000, when the person alleged to have ordered the killings was retried. In an earlier trial in the early 90's, a jury had been deadlocked over conviction, but that was thrwon out after it was discovered that one juror had been bribed.
The story involves many of the same themes and evidence trails that the O.J. case had in its depth including thugs, drugs, mugs, clubs, the mob and Tom Lange.
