I too agree with the contents of your post re: the constitution, the bill of rights etc. I also agree that the idea of having a grand jury review cases and decide whether or not the evidence warranted a trial.

But, like Charlie, I agree that the question in this case is not a general concern about the merits behind the concept, but rather a specific concern. That is, did a grand jury decide whether O.J. should be tried? Was he indicted?

The answer is no, the Grand Jury was "recused" and apparently a judge decided to hold, then try O.J.

If so, were his rights violated? Or was this just in fact a show trial?
