Jasper, I believe the jacket disappeared before they ever went over there.
I recall that part of Cochran's deal about Fuhrman coming out of the condo with his jacket over his arm was that it concealed the jacket.
Furhman placed his suit jacket in the trunk of his car--not over the seat in front.
I think some of the early cops saw it and later it was gone. It may have even been Phillips who said he saw it.
