You should read Clark's book, Charlie, she is a little smarter than Fuhrman, but she too tends to overkill when she lies. This late visit to the crime scene for example, the way she writes about it makes you wonder if it ever happened. This is the day they found "the additional blood" on the back gate, July 3 I think.

The police closed down the crime scene in the afternoon of June 13. Gave it back to the family. The next day Lou Brown changed the locks and they washed away the blood (not the drop on the gate).

Being a practical woman I have to think that in the three weeks after the murders and before this visit by Clark and the detectives, family must have been in the house. They must have picked up things for the kids, cleaned out the fridge and so on. And I just do not believe that nobody straightened out the bed. It's and emotional thing, to touch and care for where the loved one had been. Try to honor by making things look nice, that's our nature.

So what I'm getting at with all this is that for some reason Clark lied about not being in the condo on June 13. That is when she must have seen the crumpled up bedlinnens. She makes much too big a deal in her book of how she was not allowed into the condo on June 13 even though she had no problem getting into Rockingham the same day. Miss Marple
