Kari, I am all questions. I saw the movie a number of years ago and I'm not sure that I made a connection to Nicole then. Some names came up and of cause there was the yelling 911 call about prostitutes.

So I would be grateful for any info on the "players". About Brambles I only know that he was a detective involved with prostitution, that he was arrested one month after the murders, that he was wearing blue jean jackets and that one was found in Nicole's kitchen.

Was he there that night, "looking after his property?" Did he bring a customer over? I'm terribly naive about these things, but I was always wondering about Nicole's bedroom that night. Riske described the bed like "someone had been in it" with the bedding being piled up in the middle. When you get out of your bed alone, the bedding gets piled up on one side. And then the hand cuffs hanging on the bedpost. Clark wrote about them in her book and found them peculiar. "Mommy's crying", maybe that had nothing to do with a phone call, but rather with some kinky sex. (Resnick says she had an upbeat conversation with Nicole.) And then there is the neighbor who saw the hug outside in the alley.

In Raging Heart there are many comments from Nicole's friends about how she was living dangerously (reeling out of control) the last months of her life and many of them insinuated that it had something to do with sex. Ron Ship said "she was leading a confused and fast-track life". Miss Marple
